Anxiously Waiting...

We are dying waiting to get into our house! We can't wait to have our own rooms again, our own space, our own life back on track. I can't wait to start decorating and start the gardening along with the farm. Khaliah is so anxious to get a horse. The people up the road from us have 3 and everyday she wants to go see them and pet them. All day we hear about the horse she's going to buy. Very cute, very annoying :)
Khaliah got her first haircut this week. It so badly needed to be done, but I cut 3 inches off in total and now am a little sad her hair is that much shorter. She loves it though. It just amazes me everyday what a little person she's becoming. I've definately been noticing how grown she is and often have to remind myself she's not a baby anymore.
We're still loving life by the farms...and anxiously waiting for our own home to finally close!!!
---Here's pics of Khaliah's hair. Not great pics, but the first ones the before and the second is after---

The tragedy of our past week!

So much has happened in such a little amound of time! But first and foremost, our 2 favorite puppies in the world have passed. Cassius and Blayze died on Saturday May 17th of heat wave. I don't want to go into it, but we have been devistated since this has happened. We loved those dogs like they were our kids and it's been so hard these past couple days to not have them in our lives!
On a much happier note, Dustin got an amazing career opportunity last Monday. He is now an Engineer Machinist. He now works a regular job with health benefits, paid time off, paid vacations, 401k, and the works. He loves it so much! But do to his job we were unable to make our neice, Mia's, 1st birthday party. So, happy birthday to the cutest 1 year old!
Mahlayah is getting so big! She's just here and there. She has such a sweet personality! Everyone loves to come over and get hugs from her. She's waving hi and bye and just laughs, laughs, laughs!
Taysiah is very much a 2 year old! We're definately getting use to the new tantrums, and the "mine!" But yet she still is such a sweety. She's still generous when she wants to be and she's talking up a storm. Her new very favorite thing to do is sing to everyone! We wake up to her singing and go to sleep with her singing. And the only song she know is "twinkle twinkle little star." She is loving her grandpa so much and just wants to impress him!
Khaliah is still our adventurous little girl. Scared of nothing and wants everything. Yesterday she says " Mommy can we buy a horse and keep it in grandpa's front yard?" And today she lets me know that cows want to drink milk from my boobs like a baby. She's becoming more and more of a grease monkey like her daddy!
And as for me, nothing really to report other than I'm just enjoying the consistancy of loving my family! Melinda and I planted flowers yesterday for Craig and hopefully those will be blooming soon. We spent the whole day shopping for plants and flowers just us girls! It was a lot of fun!!

Happy Mothers Day!

Thought I would just pop in and share my wonderful mothers day...

This morning Dustin and Melinda decided they needed to go to the store and "get milk." They get home and I'm finishing getting ready and as Melinda walks through the door she tells us Dustin is in the garage working on his samurai...Now, I'm peaved because today was suppose to be the one day he was not going to be in the garage, so I freak out, storm to open the door, kick the door open and as I was about to set the thing on fire Dustin is sitting there with flowers, a card and a little present. I felt so dumb! Everyone started laughing! It was probably the best surprise.

After some breakfast and playing with the girls Opal, Ruthie and I went on a hike up Cedar City Canyon-yes people I hiked-We got some really great pictures considereing the wind. But it was so beautiful and quiet. You could just hear the water and as we kept walking we see these 2beautiful waterfalls. A bit muddy, but still beautiful. I'bve never enjoyed nature as much as I have lately. It's really unfortunate but at least I'm soaking it up while I'm still young.

I'm so lucky I have such a great family to spend time with. I just feel very wanted and accepted! I posted some pics of the fun hike we had today!

A New Chapter!

Our family has needed something new for some time and trying to find out what we needed took a lot of time, heartache and determination. After weeks of vacationing and finding jobs, a home, and a life we return to Cedar City. There is something so peaceful about living in a small town (approx 20,000). People tend to be slower, friendlier and a bit more relaxing to be around.

And this starts our new chapter...

The girls are having a blast playing in the dirt, rocks, water...whatever. They love the outdoors and they are loving the constant attention they get from grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins. Khaliah is definately growing more into a diva. She is now wanting her hair straightened when she gets out of the bath while still begging to have her fingers and toes painted. Taysiah is still my little shoe queen but starting to develope the little tantrum habits her sister taught her. And my sweet little Mahlayah can't get enough of hugs, kisses, and loves. Although she's not walking, she sure is standing and getting around.

Dustin of course is loving the warm weather and soaking up any 4 wheeling moment he can with his dad and uncle. His family sure has been helping a lot with getting his sami up and running. We did enjoy a lovely family day out at 3 peaks where yes, I DROVE!

I on the other hand just love and appreciate the help I get with the girls. They are so happy which in turn makes me happy. I get a lot of peace and quiet while they tear up the town. I love the idea of starting my own vegetable garden and the start up of a fun house remodeling project with my hubby.

Well, that's the start of much more updates to come. Posted are some pics of our fun weekend visit which started out our new chapter!!
