The Big 28!

My grandma and her husband visited this week and it was so nice to see them. The girls always light up when they see a familiar face. My grandma read them some stories as John was telling us his stories about his experiences in this area. It's nice to see a little more of them and hopefully we can build a better bond!

We mostly spent this week and weekend just playing outside in the dirt while Dustin and Craig worked on Melinda's engine for her car. They worked practically all weekend, but luckly got great results as the car does finally run. I just find it amazing that on the boys spare time they help whoever they can. It also amazes me how many skills each of them have. Not very many people I know can just pull an engine out of one car and put it in another. My hats off to them.

Even though we didn't really do anything spectacular this weekend it was Dustin's 28th birthday! He got a bow which makes him so excited to go on the bow hunt. He and Craig practiced a little with a target in the backyard on Friday. You can definately tell they are father and son! Happy birthday baby and I hope it was a good one, even though you were working hard! Here are some pics of the week!

"Rock Crawling isn't a hobby, it's a lifestyle"

This last week has definately been a busy one with work, side jobs, helping Jody get all packed up, helping Troy get the Rock Crawler ready to go for the competition, etc. But being busy makes the relaxing times more joyes.
This last weekend was filled with fun activities for the family!! On Friday we went to the Rodeo they had here in Cedar City. Wasn't the best Rodeo, but it was still fun. Khaliah decided she wanted to be a cowgirl, thinking that all it consisted of was riding a cow. The whole night she just talked about riding the dang cows. The other 2 girls didn't really care for it, but they sure liked the hot dogs!!
Saturday we went to support Troy at the Rock Crawls. The first day was really a bad day for him. He was so distracted by what was going on work wise he couldn't focus on the competition. But Sunday he pulled out of it and got 3rd place. Yay, for Troy. It was a lot of fun to watch, especially because even when Troy is doing "bad" you realize what good driver and competitor he is, but then he is a Bailey. It was way too hot for the girls, so they ended up spending the day at their cousins house. We did however buy them W.E. rock shirts that look adorable.
We also watched the Ultimate Fighter Finale on Saturday night at Troy and DeeAnn's house. We all had a mini party eating food, wrestling around, and watching UFC. Lots of fun!

Happy Fathers Day!

For Fathers Day I thought it would be fun spending the weekend camping and fishing since Dustin loves it so much! Dustin, me and the 3 girls left on Friday evening and went to Yankee Meadow. It was absolutely beautiful up there. There is a gorgous lake and trees for miles and miles. We found a pretty decent spot, set up camp, lit a fire, and made hobo dinners. The girls had a blast hanging around the camp fire. The first night was terrible sleep due to the FREEZING weather. We woke up the next morning at 6:30 and headed to Wal-mart-hahaha- to get an air mattress and some bait to fish. We didn't fish too long mostly because the girls were tired and hungry...and Dustin was grumpy because he didn't catch anything. The rest of the day and evening we sang songs, made food, made up competitions and games. It was such a blast as well as a headache having 3 young children there, but we will definately be going again soon! I couldn't get over how beautiful and peaceful it is up there! It's like a whole other world...
Happy Fathers Day to my wonderful hubby. He tries his best to be a great dad and though at times we don't agree on the parenting method he really tries hard to be an example. And of course happy fathers day to my brother Adam who I admire so much for trying to be such a great dad and husband. And I can't forget my father in law Craig who really tries to have both his kids in mind in everything he does. I love you all!!

Here's some pics of the greatest weekend!

I've Been Tagged!!

So, thanks to Sara I've been tagged. I guess I'm suppose to write 6 random things about myself. Here I go...
1) I'm a freak when it's bedtime. All the lights have to be out, no blinking lights, no clock lights, nothing. I also have to have no noise or I freak out, which is pretty funny cuz I'm a mom of 3 kids. But, when I sleep I have to fall asleep with the Tv on which has both lights and noise. It's weird I know.
2) I have really bad anxiety in the car and about water. If driving around a curb whoever is driving has to go super slow. I will not drive in the mountains or when the weather is bad. It drives Dustin nuts! And at this point I wont even think about going in any water besides pool water. Don't ask me why. I get super bad panic attacks with both.
3)Melinda says I'm hard on the outside and soft on the inside.
4)I'm trying new things with my husband such as all the outdoor stuff so we have more things in common, and I love it! We've been rockcrawling, hiking, and have plans for camping, fishing, etc.
5)In a couple of weeks I plan on starting a little farm with chickens, maybe a goat, eventually horses and a gorgous garden.
6)I'm a total home body. I would rather sit and relax at home instead of going out on the town. Even going on a vacation all I can think about it going home!

Finding out what's important...

This week has definately been one of the more challenging weeks yet, but I've really learned what's important. I found that my family meaning Dustin, Khaliah, Taysiah and Mahlayah are the most important and no matter what they are always there for me. Dustin has had my back through the most difficult times, whether it's me being completely psycho and irrational or one of our kids ending up in the hospital. And even though he's not perfect, he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you baby!
Mahlayah learned how to kiss this week and it's so adorable. She will take a stuffed animal, hold it up to her lips and kiss. I love it!! She's such little person! We're really starting to see her personality and boy are we in trouble! I'm trying to work with her on her walking, but like most everything she will get fussy with me and learn when she wants to...not when I try to teach her. So I decided to just let her be.
Dustin, Khaliah, Taysiah and I went with Troy, Dee Ann and all their kids and a few of their friends trail riding today at Scull Canyon. The girls had a blast! You can definately tell that Khaliah is Dustins kid with her no fear personality and Taysiah is defiantely my kid with the everyones gonna die mantality. We had a blast although Dustin did break some things. We got a great tan, fun memories, and a wonderful ending to a horrible week!
Hopefully not very many more of these weeks will happen and I will keep finding out what's really important and not paying attention to the nonsense.

Here Chicken Chicken...

Okay, so I'm amazed by how this day has gone and quickly wanted to write a blog about it...
First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY CRAIG!!! It was Craigs birthday today (Dustins Dad) and Dustin worked for his uncle for 11 hours to earn these half doors for Craigs jeep that I guess he has been wanting for a while. Well, we had to run up to Uncle Mikes house (about 30 minutes away) to get these doors from the garage. We get there and spend like 3 hours trying to catch their chickens. I'm wanting to get some chickens and Khaliah is all about holding them, but we scared these things so bad that they were running everywhere. One actually bit Uncle Mike. The rooster, Tuxedo, got out so Dustin goes running after them. It was hilarious because they were just running in circles for like 25 minutes when Dustin quit from exhaustion. We did however get 5 out of the 8 and hopefully the rest will come back home. For me this experience was just awesome just because I grew up in the city and know nothing about the farm life. For Dustin it's just an everyday accurence in the life of the Bailey's. At the end of the day we did get the doors to Craig and he loves them!
Also, welcome to Cedar City Pam!!!
Melinda and I started this fun "tradition" and every sunday we have a girls night. Today was like the 4th one and I absolutely love hanging out with her. She's awesome!!! And it's fun to finally have girls days where I have time to feel like a 23 year old! So, holla to Melinda...hahaha
Well, that's about all for now...and hopes for another great week here on the farm!
